Meet Georgie Charlish, Extreme Reach series from shots.net

For Georgie Charlish, ER’s Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, creativity has always been pivotal. But it was music, rather than advertising, that defined her early years. “I started playing piano when I was six years old,” she says. “I went on to play in some amazing places, like the Sydney Opera House, and I think that in all likelihood I’d have been a musician had I never gone into a career in the media and marketing space.”

Charlish orchestrates the ANZ team, a job that requires her to speak with people in nearly every corner of the globe on a daily basis. Her upbringing instilled a natural appreciation for diversity (find out more about Charlish’s roots in her Shots profile!), which is essential in today’s professional climate. The pandemic resulted in various shifts to her working dynamic, but the pro vibes to new challenges. “Complexity should never hold creativity back,” she says.
