The British Arrows - CAM Case Study
Intro:
The British Arrows is a renowned organization based in the UK that, for more than 4 decades, has celebrated and championed the best of British advertising and production. Their annual awards ceremony recognizes excellence in advertising across various categories.
Challenge:
With over 1000 video entrees annually, the organization faced a challenge in managing their shortlisted and winning content for global distribution. Their existing system involved adding video files to individual hard drives, packaging them up and then having them physically delivered to stakeholders via courier. This was not only time-consuming, expensive and also fraught with security issues, but also considerably increased the carbon footprint of the organization. The British Arrows needed a centralized platform to view, organize and share files securely around the world. They chose Extreme Reach’s best-in-class Creative Asset Management (CAM) solution to overcome these hurdles.
Solution/ Results:
CAMs secure, cloud-based technology enabled The British Arrows to streamline their content management process. Intuitive tools and permission-based access ensured that all files were shared securely and in the highest quality across multiple regions and stakeholders. This proved of particular use as The British Arrows needed to send all winning & shortlisted content to a US-based post production house, where it would be downloaded and then edited into a 75 minute showreel. This was viewed by over 30,000 people over a 4-week period at the Warner Arts Centre in Minneapolis. Following the event, the showreel was then re-uploaded into the Extreme Reach platform and shared to the Hong Kong Art Centre for their own display. Maximum file quality and resolution was ensured at all stages of the process.
“The complexity of sharing and distributing content across multiple regions and stakeholders is made much simpler and more efficient through ER’s CAM platform. It has saved us time and money, and improved our carbon footprint, which is a key focus for us looking forward.” Lisa Lavender - Managing Director, The British Arrows.
CAM has enabled The British Arrows to significantly reduce their carbon footprint by shrinking their physical storage space and completely eliminating the manual transportation of files. By staying digital, The British Arrows are not only improving their content management workflow, but also contributing to a more sustainable future in advertising.
