XR Announces Strategic Leadership Changes to Accelerate Growth

NEW YORK, NY AUGUST 12, 2024 – XR today announced a strategic change in its leadership team, with the appointment of Doug Knopper as Executive Chairman and Jo Kinsella as Global President and Chief Operating Officer. The moves were made to accelerate XR’s execution of the vision to set the new creative standard for cross-platform advertising, driven by the most comprehensive data intelligence in the industry.

As part of this transition, Louisa Wong is stepping down from her role as Chief Executive Officer. Louisa played a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for future growth and unifying the organization with the launch of the XR brand. XR’s Chief Financial Officer, Chandler Bigelow, will step in as Acting CEO.

Doug Knopper, an accomplished executive, and co-founder and former CEO of Freewheel, brings a wealth of experience in advertising, media and technology to XR. He will work closely with Jo Kinsella and the leadership team to execute XR’s vision to advance product innovation and drive global adoption of the unified platform.

Jo Kinsella, a software veteran who led TVSquared through acquisition in 2022, will become Global President and Chief Operating Officer, leading sales, marketing, customer success, product and operations. Jo will partner with Chandler in steering XR through this transformative phase that will deliver exponential value and return on investment to the entire media ecosystem.

Doug Knopper shared, “I am looking forward to partnering with Jo, Chandler and the team to drive more value to our customers. On behalf of the board, we are deeply grateful for Louisa’s visionary leadership, which has defined XR’s next era of growth and innovation.”

Jo added, “I am thrilled to have the entire organization integrated and delivering the value to our customers. XR sets the new creative standard for cross platform advertising and has established the largest source of creative data in advertising. I am also excited about the launch of XR Pay to elevate the role the company plays in powering $1.5 billion in talent, crew and vendor payments across advertising and entertainment.”
